The Shaba loan — what it is and what it costs

Shaba is the name of the Brisk Credit loan family. There are three products under it, and choosing the right one changes what you pay.

Shaba — individual business

For anyone running their own biashara for six months or more. 30% for the 30-day cycle, 21% if fully repaid within 21 days.

Shaba Kilimo — farmer groups

For women and youth farmer groups in poultry, dairy and horticulture. 10% flat for the cycle — the lowest rate Brisk offers.

Shaba Rider — riders

For boda boda riders: fuel, spares, insurance, or buying your own bike. 30% for the cycle, 21% by day 21. No logbook held.

Which one applies to you

If you work alone in a business, take Shaba. If you farm as part of a group, take Shaba Kilimo — the rate is a third of the alternative. If you ride, take Shaba Rider.
